SUMMER BALLET INTENSIVE
with Petra Conti & ERIS NEZHA
Join Pasadena Civic Ballet, Petra Conti, Eris Nezha and guest faculty Madison Olandt and Jackie Kopcsak for a 4-week multi-disciplinary training program fostering technical proficiency, artistic growth and depth in movement literacy.

Group 1: Ages 10-13
Group 2: Ages 13+
Audition is required for dancers who are not members of the Pasadena Civic Ballet Company. Please click on the "Audition Instructions" button to view the required combinations, as well as audio tracks you can use to film. Group 1 is only required to submit the "Tendu" combination. Group 2 is required to submit both the "Tendu" and "Adagio" combinations.
Please submit a video of the dancer performing the combination(s) by Friday, April 16 at 9pm. Acceptance to the intensive will be announced on a rolling basis.
Internationally renowned artist, Petra Conti, has performed as a Principal Dancer with La Scala Ballet in Milan, Boston Ballet and Los Angeles Ballet. At the age of 17 she was invited to perform with the Arena di Verona Ballet as a guest artist in her first full-length production, Cinderella. She has performed with global artists such Roberto Bolle and Ivan Vassiliev and as a guest artist with Arena di Verona Ballet, Great Russian Ballet, and National Opera of Ukraine. Her expansive repertoire includes classics such as Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Romeo & Juliet, Onegin, Etudes and Jewels to more contemporary works by choreographers like William Forsythe, Jiri Kylián, Alejandro Cerrudo, Sasha Waltz, and Aszure Barton. She has served as faculty for Los Angeles Ballet School and Pasadena Civic Ballet and enjoys coaching young aspiring dancers in their pursuit of becoming the next generation of classical artists.
Madison Olandt is a movement artist and choreographer from Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in World Arts and Cultures/Dance. Madison performed with Diavolo Architecture in Motion, Jacob Jonas The Company, Academy of Villains Contemporary, on NBC’s World of Dance Season 3, and America’s Got Talent. Her work has been seen on Dallas Black Dance Theater and Whim Whim Contemporary Dance Seattle. Her individual style merges elements of concert dance, commercial dance, acrobatics, partnering, and modern floorwork.
Eris Nezha is an international Principal Dancer. Born in Albania, he moved to Italy at 15 to pursue his ballet dreams. Nezha graduated from Teatro alla Scala Ballet School in Milan and then immediately joined La Scala Ballet Company, where he later was promoted to Principal. At La Scala, Nezha interpreted leading roles in many Company productions and performed with renowned artists including Svetlana Zakharova, Natalia Osipova and Polina Semionova. He toured with La Scala across Europe and Asia. In 2011, Nezha was awarded the Premio Danza & Danza (Performer of the Year). In 2013 he joined Boston Ballet as Principal by invitation of Mikko Nissinen. In 2018 Nezha moved to Southern California joining Los Angeles Ballet as a Principal. He choreographed and produced the 2019 Petra Conti Show and will produce the next edition post Covid. His latest choreography TIME received high praise at the 2019 All Stars Ballet Gala in Ukraine. Husband of Prima Ballerina Petra Conti, together they make one of the most acclaimed ballet couples of this era.
Jackie received her dance training at Pacific Northwest Ballet and held principal dancer positions at Ballet Bellevue and Wade Wathall’s Evergreen City Ballet. Currently she serves as Assistant Dean of Faculty at the USC Kaufman School of Dance and Co-Director of ArtistPlus, an interdisciplinary dance company. Jackie has choreographed for several companies and groups including Ballet Bellevue, Inland Pacific Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet School, Colburn School, Pasadena Civic Ballet, UC Irvine and University of Washington. She holds an M.F.A. in Dance from UC Irvine and a B.A in History from the University of Washington.
